There was another personal milestone at Hampden on Sunday night for Scott Brown.
The 31-year-old became the Celt who has captained Scotland the most after leading the national team to the 1-0 win over Slovenia.
Brown has skippered his country 22 times while at Celtic, with the latter display meaning that he eclipsed the record set by previous Hoops captain Roy Aitken.
Celtic players who have captained Scotland:
Scott Brown (22)
Roy Aitken (21)*
Paul Lambert (17)
Danny McGrain (10)
Bobby Evans (9)
* Aitken captained Scotland a further five times but was then at Newcastle United.
