RANGERS' appeal against the red card shown to Ryan Jack during last weekend's Premiership win over Aberdeen has been dismissed.

The midfielder was sent off for a challenge on Stevie May at Pittodrie, his fourth dismissal of the season.

Two of those were rescinded after appeals, but the Scottish FA confirmed on Thursday that they have dismissed the Gers' appeal after a fast track disciplinary tribunal convened at Hampden.

Jack is now set to miss Saturday's Premiership clash with Ross County, the trip to Hibernian next Wednesday and St Johnstone's visit to Ibrox next weekend.

He faces a two-match ban for serious foul play and an additional match for it being his second red card of the season.

Rangers were previously successful in overturning the cards shown to Jack against Hibernian and Kilmarnock.
