JOE DODOO is set to return to Rangers next month after a nightmare loan spell at Charlton.
The forward moved to The Valley on transfer deadline day but has struggled to make an impact for Karl Robinson’s side.
He has made just eight appearances this term and has had no action in League One since the draw with Bury in September.
A calf injured ruled him out of the Checkatrade Trophy clash with Swansea this week and boss Robinson said: “He did his calf in the warm-up - that’s another player we have out.
“He’s not played many minutes, it is what it is. Sometimes with loans, whether it’s my fault, possibly, they don't always hit the ground running the way you expect.
“There are so many fundamental reasons for that. It’s never to be disrespectful to people.
“He probably would've started on Tuesday which would have been another opportunity for him but he was injured.”
