Rangers chairman Dave King seems to have an awful lot to say about Celtic.

But what you have to take note of at the minute is that Celtic do not wish to take anything from Rangers at the minute but rather that the Ibrox club would dearly like to be in Celtic’s position, in every possible sense.

From Celtic’s perspective, it is simply a case of keeping doing what they are doing. On and off the park they are moving in the right direction and I think you just look after your own club and your own interests and leave everyone else to it.

As a club Celtic have been well run off the park under the stewardship of Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond and they have no need to be looking over their shoulder. They have carried the club forward and as such they are on a sound and solid financial footing which gives the club a significant level of stability from top to bottom.

I am sure that much of what is said by King comes down to making sure that season tickets are selling which is fair enough. But it has precious little to do with what Celtic do day to day.
