Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has tipped the young Belgians to steal the show at the World Cup. The Hoops boss is keen on watching the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard in Russia as the tournament prepares to get underway tomorrow.

“There are a lot of outstanding young talents,” Rodgers told dafabet. “If you look at the Belgian team and the qualities of de Bruyne and Hazard and those types of players.”

And Rodgers is also keen on watching the contribution of his former Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling whom he expects to be one of the key performers for Gareth Southgate’s side.

“If you look at the England squad there are some really exciting young players in there,” said the Celtic maager. “I think Raheem Sterling can have a great World Cup. He has had big experiences now as a young player and he is really developing and improving his game. If he gets the opportunity he can have a successful tournament.

“Some of the young French players are talents but I am really looking forward to seeing De Bruyne. I am looking forward to seeing Mo Salah in there as well, the players from the Premier League, and of course the Spanish are always in there as well. They have some wonderful talents. You look at Asensio at Real Madrid, he is an amazing talent. There are lots of young talents.”
