GORDON: One particularly impressive fine save just before the break from Martin Boyle as he parried what looked like a goal-wards bound header around the post. Little chance with the other two Hibs goals. (7)

LUSTIG: Had a role to play in the build-up to the opening goal but also culpable in the two that were conceded by Celtic in the second period. (6)

BENKOVIC: Strolled through the game in a defensive sense but not without incurring the wrath of Neil Lennon who was furious that he was not booked for what he thought was a foul on Emerson Hyndman. Calm and no-nonsense approach. Endeared himself to the Hoops support with post-match celebrations. (7)

BOYATA: Got himself up the pitch at times and had a comfortable afternoon at the back although was irked at the goals Hibs claimed in the second period. Interesting to see what kind of partnership he and Benkovic can enjoy over the next few months. (7)

TIERNEY: Celebrated widely went the first goal hit the back of the net and usual shift on the left-flank where he spent most of his time bombing forward. (7)

FORREST: Another impressive contribution from the Celtic winger. Involved in the build-up to every goal with some clever footwork and always looking to make something happen. Took a hefty kick from Mallan, with the Hibs player booked for his troubles. Went off to a standing ovation in the final stages. (9)

NTCHAM: Couple of efforts before he netted Celtic’s second goal of the day. Looked in the mood and linked well with Edouard. (8)

BROWN: Booked for a trip on Hyndman in the opening minute but afternoon cut short by injury. No real surprise when the Celtic captain went off after receiving treatment three times in the opening 20 minutes. (5)

ROGIC: One of those days from the Australian midfielder; netted a curling effort to give Celtic an early lead and then a beautifully weighted pass to set up the second of the day. Was unplayable at times as he and Forrest ran the show in the middle of the park. (9)

MCGREGOR: Curled in a free-kick off the crossbar in the opening minutes and supplied the cross from which Edouard hit the woodwork. Worked his socks off after taking over Brown’s role in the team and influence often goes unnoticed. (8)

EDOUARD: Clipped the post in the opening minutes and again in the second period before finally getting his name on the scoresheet with two goals that took the pressure off Celtic. Could and should have had more. (8)

SINCLAIR: Replaced Brown and almost added his name to the scoresheet; clipped the post after Edouard’s shot was saved and then scorned a decent chance at the other side of the interval. (6)

KOUASSI: Took over from Rogic with 20 minutes to go. (5)

CHRISTIE: On for the final ten stages as James Forrest went off to a standing ovation. Almost teed up Ntcham for another goal within a minute of being on the park. (5)
