For me, Ryan Christie is a guy who has got something about him.

He has had to be patient in terms of waiting on his chance at Celtic but I do think that he is a player who has something to offer.

His confidence will be high after the goals of the last three games and I reckon that he will start Thursday night’s Europa League game just behind Odsonne Edouard.

It is all about consistency and at 23 now he will know that he needs to kick on and play on a regular basis.

It is up to him where his career goes next but I do think that he has something to offer at the minute. He looks physically stronger, he has a bit of pace and he’ll be pleased with the three goals in the last week.

It is about keeping that going now but with Leigh Griffiths still out then he has a real opportunity to go and stake his claim playing just behind Edouard.

I also think that the French striker looks as though he is finding his feet too. I have always liked the look of him but these is pressure when you arrive at a club with a hefty pricetag on you.

When it comes to picking a starting XI at Celtic then you need to have eight players in there that you can hang your hat on – and I think that he has become one of those for Brendan Rodgers.

At Celtic you need to be a big player if you are playing up front – a big personality and capable of big performances and I think he has got that.
