Purton had a day to forget as they fell to a 5-1 defeat away at Kintbury in the Wiltshire Senior League.
The hosts were the better team from start to finish with Purton never really getting going at all. Within the first couple of minutes.
Kintbury had the majority of the first half and deservedly went into the break 2-0 up.
Purton started strongly in the first five minutes of the second half as Will Backhouse pulled one back with a well taken finish.
The hosts quickly responded and scored three more to end the game at 5-1.
It was a combination of Purton's poorest performance of the season, and a fine attacking display from Kintbury in a one-sided affair.
Purton face Football ID next weekend.
