RYAN JACK hopes there is plenty more to come from match-winner Alfredo Morelos this term after he inspired Rangers to a Scottish Cup win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox.

The striker missed the draws with Steve Clarke’s side and St Johnstone in recent days after being sent off in the victory against Aberdeen.

But he ensured the Light Blues will now return to Pittodrie in the quarter-finals after hitting four goals in a comprehensive 5-0 win for Gerrard’s side.

The return of Morelos was crucial for Rangers and they made the most of it as he struck twice in either half against a Killie side that had keeper Daniel Bachmann sent off.

And Jack was pleased the Gers could turn in the kind of showing Gerrard demands as they recovered from their Saints stalemate in style.

He said: “Alfredo is brilliant to work with and he was everywhere tonight. He was closing people down, winning the ball back and great at finishing.

“He brings a real work ethic to the team and the way he presses it’s easier for us to get up behind him and press with him.

“He was outstanding and I hope there’s more of that to come from now until the end of the season.

“It was disappointing at the weekend and the manager said he wanted us to show a good reaction. He said we never excited the fans on Saturday and it was important to put on a show for them tonight and we did that.

“He deserves for us to play that way. He gives us a plan in training every week and so do all the staff and it’s never nice when we turn up and take our foot off the gas and think it’s a bit too easy.

“It will be another tough match at Pittodrie in the next round. They’re all tough games but we managed to get a good win up there a couple of weeks ago but there’s a couple of league games before that and we’ll need to be at it up there.”
