GARY DICKER believes referee Greg Aitken should have shown more 'bottle' and sent Alfredo Morelos and Connor Goldson off during Kilmarnock's draw with Rangers at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard's side came from behind to rescue a point as Morelos cancelled out Connor McAleny's first half strike but the visitors were upset that the striker was still on the park following an incident with Kirk Broadfoot.

And there was more controversy at the end of the game as Connor Goldson only picked up a booking for a challenge on Liam Miller as he looked to burst clear in the final third.

Killie paid the price of losing a man in their Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox a few weeks ago and midfielder Dicker reckons the roles should have been reversed on Premiership duty.

He said: “We got control of the game and scored.

“They had chances but I don’t think they should have had ten men on the pitch.

“There was the Morelos incident before half-time and that’s a red card all day long at the end [with Goldson].

“Liam is clean through and he is going to commit someone else and shoot.

“It just shows that keep eleven men here and it’s a different story.

“I’m not sure [what happened at half-time], I only saw him (Morelos) swinging an arm at Broaders.

“It’s the same old story isn’t it? No one sees anything here.

“It’s just frustrating and as I said last time we were here you get bored of talking about it.

“It never seems to go our way sadly. We are happy with the way we played.

“We probably should have taken the three points. But we will take one.

“It shows how far we have come coming here and getting that.

“We always believes we can win here. I know we got beat in the cup - but we didn’t do ourselves justice going back to ten men.

“I think we’ve shown today that we can threaten and score against anyone in this league.”

The challenge from Goldson on Miller was a late flashpoint in a tempestuous affair as Kilmarnock put themselves about and Rangers were on the receiving end of a number of crunching challenges.

The Englishman was perhaps fortunate not to see red in injury time and Dicker has questioned the decision from referee Aitken and his assistants.

He said: “It’s reckless and a red card whether he is through on goal or not.

“We will see what happens because if it happens the other way around it’s a red card for Killie - end of.

“It takes a bit of bottle sometimes to make those decisions - but it’s a dangerous tackle anyway.

“So it doesn’t matter if he is clean through. It’s just more of a red card when you are clean through.

“We shouldn’t be talking about that anyway. We put in a good performance and it was a good goal Conor scored.

“He has been a good signing for us and he took his chance really well.

“A covering defender [was the explanation for the decision].

“I don’t know, at that the end of the day it’s reckless, it’s out of control and he’s not going for the ball.

“I’m sure the ref knows the rules of the game better than me so I’m sure he can tell you to be honest. I’m not a ref but it’s a red card."

While the Goldson incident seemed clear cut, there was more dubiety about the clash between Morelos and Broadfoot.

Players from both sides exchanged words as they made their way up the tunnel as tempers flared at Ibrox.

Dicker said: “Yeah, I spoke to all of them and they haven’t seen [the incident at half-time].

“The linesman said ‘I just went back down the tunnel.’ Well I think they shouldn’t come off the pitch until the players are off.

“Listen, everyone has got an answer. People make mistakes, but the fourth official, four of them there. Someone has to see something.

“Even with the one at the end. Just make a decision - you are there. I know it’s away at Ibrox - but it’s frustrating.”
