Kieran Tierney being fit and able to play without any physical restrictions is huge for Celtic.

The last time Celtic played Rangers he was a massive loss for them but by all accounts he is ready to go on Sunday and I just think when he plays there is a different dimension to Celtic.

He brings so much energy to the position and although you can appreciate that he plays with his heart on his sleeve, there is more to his game than just that.

He is a top-class fullback and it would have been the sensible thing for him to miss the Scotland land games if there was any question mark at all about his injury.

There is always that fear when players are away on international duty that they don’t come back fit.

Celtic had players all around the globe the past week and getting them back in and training this week would have given Neil Lennon the chance to make sure they are all ready for the weekend.

He might have had to pick up some of the boys who were away with Scotland because you can’t mask just how poor the performances were against Kazakhstan and San Marino.

There is a real possibility of fans becoming entirely disillusioned with the national team because of how inept it has been.

You look at it and it is very difficult to see just where the inspiration comes from going forward and that is sad to see. We would all hope that it can be turned around but it is always difficult to recover when a campaign gets off to a poor start.

But from the likes of Callum McGregor and James Forrest’s point of view, the best way to move on is to prepare for another huge game.
