I know as well as anyone the emotions that you go through in and Old Firm game and understand that it is easy to get caught up in it all on the park.
But Alfredo Morelos had to control that emotion on Sunday. Unfortunately, he couldn’t and he paid the price by being sent off.
He must know by now that people will nip at him during games, will hit him or flick him when the referee isn’t looking.
Steven Gerrard said he hopes that the penny has finally dropped and we will see what his reaction is after his ban.
It is really difficult not to respond when people are at you all the time, but he has to find it within himself not to react like that.
That will come from experience. He is young, he will make mistakes and he is on a real learning curve right now at Rangers.
He is learning the hard way and if he can get over it he will be better for it.
Alfredo is a very, very good striker and I hope he is being talked about for his goals rather than his discipline in the future.
