ALFREDO MORELOS is determined to finish the campaign on a high-note as he targets the final Old Firm clash with Celtic next month.

The striker has missed Rangers’ victories over Hearts and Motherwell in recent days after being sent off during the defeat at Parkhead.

Morelos will also have to sit out a further two matches after being hit with a Scottish FA suspension but he will be available for the visit of Celtic on the penultimate weekend of the Premiership campaign.

The 22-year-old picked up the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer prizes at Rangers’ awards ceremony on Sunday.

Morelos said: “I’ve always said that the fans are one hundred percent supportive.

“The way they support me is very passionate and the love they have for me, honestly.

“I’ve also proven myself to them in an amazing way, on the pitch playing well, scoring lots of goals. All of these prizes are for them; because they deserve it they are great fans that support us no matter what I’m very happy to have such great fans.

“My target is to be the top scorer in the league this season, that is one of my biggest targets and to keep playing well in the next three games.

“I know they are really important games for me and I’ve always said that football always gives you another opportunity.

“Now it is time to face these three games as well as possible, one is against Celtic which is going to be a very important game for me. I hope to play well and to keep going and finish the season as well as I can.”

The 29 goals that Morelos has scored this season have been crucial for Rangers.

And two strikes stand out for the Colombian as he nears the end of an impressive campaign.

He told RangersTV: “It’s very emotional for me. Scoring for Rangers is something incredible for me. I have a lot of adrenaline for scoring goals and I offer them to the fans as they deserve it.

“I have two that were really important. All of them are important to me really, but my two favourites are the backheel flick at home to Hearts and the one that I scored at Aberdeen which was also a brilliant goal.

“They are goals that are super important for my career and I’m really happy. I’m very happy with the season I’ve had with Rangers and I’d like to thank all my teammates and the technical team for all the opportunities they’ve given me and I’m really happy to be here.”
