CELTIC have condemned their own supporters for bigoted chants aimed at Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes - but demanded the SFA come down hard on abuse aimed at their fans.
McInnes was sent to the stand during Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final for reacting to songs calling him a "sad orange *******" and said afterwards that he would be "interested" if the sectarian nature of the abuse would be noted by the match delegate.
Celtic stopped short of apologising to McInnes but strongly criticised what was clearly heard at Hampden on more than one occasion.

And in a club statement, they made a point of referencing offensive abuse which emanated from the Aberdeen end. It is thought to be about chants about paedophilia.
"Chanting of this nature should have no place in football and we condemn this wholeheartedly," said the statement. "We hope the authorities also take the same interest in offensive chanting directed at Celtic Football Club and our supporters at yesterday’s (Sunday) match and other games."
