RANGERS will face Celtic in the Scottish Youth Cup final on Thursday night and they could win the Reserve League title with a win at Falkirk next week.
That certainly bodes well for Steven Gerrard because Rangers need to be bringing through more of their own players over the next couple of years.
Look at what Celtic have done with the likes of Kieran Tierney, Callum McGregor and James Forrest. They have been hugely successful first team players and they are worth millions now.
Ross McCrorie is the only one that has really made the breakthrough at Ibrox. I know it takes time and it’s difficult, but you need to produce players.
It is hard to come through at Rangers as opposed to a Motherwell or a Hamilton and you need to be at a higher level to get into a first team at Ibrox.
The fans would love to see the kids get a bit of silverware over the next few days but they would love it more if they earned a place in Steven’s squad for the new season.
