THE league has been won, the medals will soon be handed out, but none of that matters in comparison to our marks out of ten given to the Celtic players.

We take a look at those who played a part, both good and bad, who have made sure eight titles in a row was secured. Eventually.

The tried and tested once again were the star. Any new signings failed to really make their mark, which hasn't always been their fault.

Craig Gordon

Started the season as clear first choice goalkeeper but finished with his Celtic career far from secure.. Gordon has been a superb servant and this season had some terrific games but mistakes with his kicking was probably why he lost his place. 6

Scott Bain

A clean-sheet specialist who can pass the ball and brings a calmness to his back four – he has been a revelation. Bain’s three saves against Airdrie within a matter of seconds was something else, as has his consistency. 7.5

Mikael Lustig

The Swede will one day be properly appreciated. At 32, he probably didn’t expect to play as much but he continues to see off younger rivals and while this might be his last season, once again he’s been reliable. 6.5

Jeremy Toljan

His first few games promised so much but it appears that the second choice Borussia Dortmund right-back isn’t good enough to be first choice at Celtic. A red card in Valencia was needless. Another January signing which hasn’t worked. 3

Jozo Simunovic

The Croat under Neil Lennon has shown his best form which was never going to happen under Brendan Rodgers who had lost confidence in the centre-half. It’s been another uneven season; however, recent games promises much. 6

Dedryck Boyata

Blotted his copybook by more or less going on strike ahead of the AEK Athens champions League qualifier when a move to Fulham didn’t go through. The Belgian has done okay, a mixture of good and bad, but he’s never been forgiven. 5

Filip Benkovic

The loan man from Leicester City was superb at first, every inch a £13m player, but injury has done for him and 2019 has been a washout. This has been a shame because this guy looks the real deal. 6

Kristoffer Ajer

Good in part one, superb in part two. The Norwegian is for the moment Celtic’s best central defender and everything first Rodgers and now Neil Lennon would want. He can pass the ball, carry the ball and win the ball as well. And he’s 20. 8

Kieran Tierney

The 21-year-old’s body has eventually given up on him. He needs a double hernia operation and, almost as importantly, a long rest which he will now get. In saying that, Tierney has been superb when he’s played. Celtic are not the same without him. 7

Emilio Izaguirre

Criticising Izaguirre is like punching a puppy. Mr Popular has played more than anyone would have thought. He gives his all, has had good games, but there have been times when he’s been off the pace. 5

James Forrest

Lennon was right. He is a modern day Celtic legend. The winger in terms of goals, big ones, and assists means he’s topped even last season. Forrest has become a gem on the right hand side, an exciting and consistent talent. 8

Scott Brown

He had one bad game, at Ibrox, and the hard of thinking wrote him off. What a nonsense. Brown has been terrific once again, particularly right at the start of the season and over recent weeks. There is nobody like him. A born leader. 7.5

Oliver Ntcham

For such a genuinely gifted player, the Frenchman has been a major disappointment. For every good game, there have been a couple of average performances and some seriously awful games (Ibrox and Easter Road) and that’s nowhere near good enough. 3

Callum McGregor

Player of the Year, just over Forrest, and while the number of games took its toll, Celtic have a wonderful footballer, a dream professional and one who can only get better. In full flight, he is fantastic to watch. 8.5

Tom Rogic

The World Cup was hard on a player who does struggle for fitness, which is a real shame because he is such a talent. The Australian has enjoyed some good moment but this has not been a campaign to remember. 5

Ryan Christie

What a mixture. Having almost joined Aberdeen and Hibs, the playmaker made a sensational breakthrough against Hearts, scored some superb goals, got into the Scotland team, but got a bad knee injury then a clash of heads ended a seriously encouraging season. 7

Scott Sinclair

Once again, his statistics aren’t bad – they include a hat-trick at Pittodrie – but the Englishman has been, not poor exactly, not contributing much. He’s got 17 goals, a superb total, but that hides the fact he’s been a frustrating watch. 6

Mikey Johnston

Scored his first goal, won Academy Player of the Year, and is highly thought of by Lennon. Does this man we will see a lot more of him? He needs the supporters to be more patient with him. 6

Jonny Hayes

Never lets anyone down when called upon, although his crossing is not what he should be. The Irishman is a rare thing at Celtic, a squad player who can rely upon to come in and do a good job. Did well when asked to fill in at left-back. 6

Oli Burke

Started well when he first arrived, but not Lennon’s cup of tea and it’s difficult to see him being asked to stay. There is a seriously good footballer there but there aren’t enough goals or assist to back that up. 4

Timothy Weah

When on the park, the 18-year-old has done fine, scored some good goals, and has brought energy and spirit to the team. It was asking a lot for him to make a huge contribution but it would be intriguing to see what he could do next season if they could be arranged. 5.5

Leigh Griffiths

Whatever is going on with Griffiths, he might now have the best manager to get him sorted out and back into the Celtic team. The worry is that the striker will never get back to his bet, if back at all, and that would be a huge shame. 4

Odsonne Edouard

He isn’t Moussa Dembele, which is hardly the fault of the £9m man. However, for a 21-year-old with a lot of pressure on his shoulders, 20-plus goals and some brilliant performances is not a bad return. He could have been better and he will become better. 7
