THE play-off final games with St Mirren will be two great occasions for everyone at Dundee United to be involved in and I can’t wait for two really exciting, entertaining fixtures.

We have earned the right to be there having finished second in the league and then come through the semi-final with Inverness Caley Thistle and St Mirren have been on a decent run over the last few games.

It shows you the size of United as a club when you see the crowd we had at Tannadice the other night and the number of fans that have bought tickets for the first leg on Thursday night.

The atmosphere last week was terrific and there is no doubt that Dundee United are a Premiership club. Now we have two games to try and get there and get that place in the top flight.

St Mirren have got a good manager and some exciting players that can win games for them but it is one we are looking forward to.

I have really enjoyed working with Robbie Neilson over the last few months. He has come in and changed the club around, improved the team and the environment and the culture is coming along.

That takes time to put in place, but it is going in the right direction and we have had fantastic backing from the owner, Mark Ogren, and Tony Ashgar, the Sporting Director.

Robbie is a young manager that I think will go to the top.

The players respect him, his staff love working for him, he is forward thinking and has great ideas.

He is a modern day manager, but he has got a bit of old school in him as well and that is always great to see and work with. It is a privilege to be there with him.
