IT doesn't feel all that long ago that the Scottish Premiership season came to a close, and now we're gearing up to do it all over again.

The fixture list for the 2019/20 season is set to be announced in the near future: here's everything you need to know.

When is the fixture list revealed?

The fixtures will be announced by the SPFL on the morning of Friday the 21st of June at 9am.

When are the first round of games taking place?

The opening weekend of the 2019/20 season will take place on the weekend of 3/4 August.

What do we know so far?

Celtic, Ross County, Arbroath and Peterhead will all play their first games of the season at home after finishing the last campaign as champions of the Premeiership, Championship, League One and League Two respectively.

Will there be a winter break?

Yes and no. Top flight clubs will have a fortnight off in the first two weeks of January 2020, but sides in the bottom three leagues will continue playing.

When will the season conclude?

The final round of games will take place on the weekend of May 16/17. The Championship, League One and League Two campaigns will wrap up two weeks beforehand on the weekend of May 2/3.

When is the split?

The Premiership's last round of fixtures before the split will take place on the weekend of April 4/5.

When is the Premiership play-off taking place?

The two-legged play-off final for a place in the Premiership is scheduled for the 20th and 24th of May.

When is the Scottish Cup final taking place?

The final will be held a little earlier than usual this season, so that preparations can be made for Hampden's role in Euro 2020. The Scottish Cup final will be held at the national stadium on Saturday May 9.
