GLEN KAMARA is confident he can continue to go from strength to strength as he prepares for his first full season at Ibrox.

The midfielder made an immediate impression for Rangers after moving from Dundee during the January transfer window.

He followed up that form with two eye-catching performances for Finland at the end of the domestic campaign.

And now he is eager to improve once again as he is put through his paces at the Gers' training camp in Portugal this week.

Kamara told RangersTV: “I guess I probably did better last season when I joined than predicted.

“Coming in I was trying to get into the team as quick as possible and I am happy I have done that; hopefully I can maintain that now.

“I needed a chance to show what I could do and luckily I got the opportunity here so I want to show more now.

“Summer has been good for me; I had two international games and some chill time. I am happy to be back with Rangers now and getting ready for the new season.

“The plan now for me it to just kick on into pre-season and get into the season well. My first morning back with the team was tough; the running was tough so I always look forward to the football sessions.

“The intensity here is a different than I had been used to the last couple of years so it will definitely help me throughout the season.”
