DAVID Turnbull’s move to Celtic could be off after an issue was uncovered in his medical.

Scottish football’s transfer saga of the summer is set to drag on yet further a full six days since he underwent his original medical examination ahead of his proposed transfer to the Scottish champions from Motherwell.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon originally confirmed that Turnbull was having his medical last Friday after turning down an offer form English Premier League side Norwich City, adding that he expected Turnbull to be announced as a Celtic player on Friday night.
The player did travel to Manchester for his medical, but no confirmation of his signature arrived. The delay was expected to be temporary, with Turnbull’s unveiling expected by no later than the weekend having been pictured in a Celtic jersey alongside manager Lennon.

The 19-year-old Scotland under-21 international then underwent additional scans on Monday, and Herald Sport understands that those additional scans uncovered an issue that has led to the £3.25m transfer being placed into doubt.
Both clubs are now understood to be attempting to find a solution that works out for all parties.
