Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, the 24-year-old left-back who has signed for Celtic from Rapid Vienna, believes he is the most technically gifted player in his family including his cousin, Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku. He said: "They are a bit stronger and more physical than me, but I think technically I am the best in the family.

Rangers' Europa League clash with St Joseph's still to be confirmed by UEFA

Rangers are still in the dark as to when their Europa League first-round clash with St Joseph’s will be played next week.

The Gibraltarians set up a meeting with Steven Gerrard’s side by beating Prishtina on Tuesday as a 2-0 victory earned them a 3-1 aggregate win in the preliminary round.

Talks between Rangers and St Joseph’s regarding the trip to Gibraltar took place on Wednesday but UEFA have still to confirm when the first leg of the tie will be played. (The Herald

Celtic have landed an all-action midfielder in new signing Luca Connell, says Marc Iles, the chief football writer for the Bolton News.

Marc said: "Luca was commanding midfield in the Championship and he improved. He'll improve and develop further around good players. 

"It's obviously going to be more difficult to break into a team with big established players already there but he's not shy and he believes hand-on-heart that he can challenge for a place.

"Neil Lennon will give kids chances and take gambles so don't be surprised if he's there at the beginning of the season.
