ALLAN MCGREGOR: Nothing at all to do in the first half as the few opportunities that St Joseph’s had were blazed off target. Did what little he had to competently and will rarely have an easier day’s work. 6

JAMES TAVERNIER: Tried to get forward on the right but had little influence in the first half. Trademark free-kick delivery set up Ojo for a chance early in second though and he drove on to good effect as the hosts tired, swinging the ball in for Morelos to score the fourth. 7

CONNOR GOLDSON: One or two lapses in the first half but steadied himself as the game went on. Thought he had a goal when tapping home from Barisic’s free-kick, but ball was clearly over the line already. 6

NIKO KATIC: Couple of slack moments almost allowed St Joseph’s in, with a weak header just before half-time in particular presenting a decent opportunity to the home side. Little to do second half. 6

BORNA BARISIC: Given a chance to stake a claim at left back and got forward to decent effect, and picked out a lovely ball in to Jack that broke the deadlock. Then curled a beauty of a free-kick in for Rangers’ third from a dead ball. 7

RYAN JACK: Decent in possession and kept the ball moving, before popping up with a fine finish to open the scoring after the interval. Replaced on the hour. 7

GLEN KAMARA: Has become integral to the Rangers midfield and most of the positive things Rangers did went through him. Had a couple of shots that flew just wide and generally was neat and tidy. 7

STEVEN DAVIS: Blew a good chance just before the break as he sliced high and wide from the edge of the box, and while always classy on the ball, would have liked to have been more involved. 6

SHEYI OJO: Showed good feet and also had the power and drive to take the ball and carry it at the home defence and beyond his own frontline. Missed a good chance early in the second half, but made up for it soon after with curling finish to get the second. Impressive showing. 8

JORDAN JONES: Given a competitive debut on the left and showed up well at times, beating his man and getting the ball into the area quickly. Tired a little and was replaced by Stewart. 7

JERMAIN DEFOE: Looked a danger early on before picking up a booking for a textbook forward’s challenge. Quiet after the interval before being replaced by Morelos. 6

SUBSTITUTES:

JOE ARIBO: Replaced Jack on the hour and was tidy enough on the ball without catching the eye too much. 4

ALFREDO MORELOS: Came on at same time as Aribo, replacing Defoe, and no surprise to see him get among the goals with a trademark header from six yards. 6

GREG STEWART: On for Jones with 20 minutes remaining but didn’t have too much influence on proceedings. 4
