ALFREDO Morelos has been tipped to leave Rangers for a bigger club in the English Premier League, Craig Levein has ruled out a move for James Morrison and Arsenal boss Unai Emery has asked the club's board to make an improved offer for Celtic's Kieran Tierney.

Former team-mate backs Morelos to move to England

Rops Rovaniemi midfielder Lucas Lingman reckons that his “crazy” former team-mate Alfredo Morelos is good enough to flourish in the English Premier League. Lingman, who played alongside the Colombian at HJK Helsinki, said: “If he continues to score at the rate he has done in Scotland then he can win a move to a bigger club in England. Of course he can.”

Levein rules out Morrison move

Hearts manager Craig Levein says that the club are not interested in signing former West Brom midfielder James Morrison, report the Scottish Sun. Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen have all been linked with a move for the 33-year-old free agent but Levein said he is not pursuing the Scot’s signature - although admitted he would like to recruit another midfielder.

Emery demands Arsenal up their bid

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has grown frustrated at his club’s attempts to sign Kieran Tierney and has made a personal plea to the board to ensure the deal is completed. Arsenal had a second bid for Tierney last week.

Kent stars for Liverpool

Rangers target Ryan Kent starred for Liverpool in the club’s latest pre-season friendly, having a hand in all three of his side’s goals in a 3-1 win over Bradford City. The Scottish Sun believe that Jurgen Klopp has been “majorly impressed” with Kent’s performance and believe that the winger will be given further opportunities against Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon in the coming weeks.

Deila: Tierney can follow Van Dijk’s example

Ex-Celtic manager Ronny Deila, who gave Kieran Tierney his debut for the Parkhead club, believes that the full-back can use Virgil Van Dijk’s success in England as a template amid Arsenal’s interest in the Scotland international. Deila told the Scottish Sun: “Virgil, of course, has gone on to a different level since leaving Celtic, but at the time I worked with them both Kieran was even better.”

Kilmarnock keen on Agyepong

Manchester City winger Thomas Agyepong - who spent last season on loan at Easter Road - is a target for Kilmarnock as manager Angelo Alessio looks to strengthen his squad for the upcoming campaign. The Daily Record are reporting that Agyepong could be heading to Ayrshire on a one-year loan.

Henderson waits for Clarke visit

Former Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson, who recently won promotion to Italy’s Serie A with Hellas Verona, is optimistic that Steve Clarke will come to Italy to watch him as he pursues an international call up for Scotland. “I would love to play for Scotland because it’s very important to me,” admitted Henderson. “I hope Steve Clarke will come and watch some games in Verona.”

The Daily Record are reporting that Dundee have jumped to the front of the queue to sign Aberdeen striker Stevie May, because they are willing to sign the forward on a permanent deal. St Johnstone were believed to be the front-runners to re-sign May but the Record are reporting that Saints chairman Steve Brown is yet to sanction a move.

Bruce returns to Rugby Park

Alex Bruce has signed a one-year deal at Kilmarnock, according to the Daily Record. The 34-year-old was out of contract after spending the second half of last season on loan at Rugby Park.
