Kilmarnock’s Europa League conquerors have hailed last night’s win as the “Greatest Welsh football result of all time”.
Connah’s Quay dispatched of Killie with a 2-0 win at Rugby Park, turning round a 2-1 loss from the first-leg to win 3-2 on aggregate.
Taking to social media, the Welsh Premier League outfit couldn’t hide their delight.

They posted: “Full-time Kilmarnock 0-2 Nomads (2-3 agg) ITS THE GREATEST WELSH FOOTBALL RESULT OF ALL TIME.
“WE’RE GOING TO SERBIA!
“Say it with us... Nomads Never Die.”
The post racked up thousands of likes and shares with hundreds more people quick to congratulate the part-timers.
One said: “Awesome result, doing Welsh football proud”.
Another added: “Proud to be Welsh. Well done lads”.

One gracious Killie fan wrote: “Well done, deserved it more than us.”
Other supporters were quick to point out other famous Welsh results from the past - including when Wrexham beat Arsenal in the 1992 FA Cup and the Welsh national team’s journey to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.
Ryan Wignall and Callum Morris sealed the win for Nomads after Stuart Findlay was sent-off.
