Motherwell have signed a record-breaking deal with Paddy Power as they become the first Scots club to join the #SaveOurShirt campaign.

The betting giants have sponsored the Steel Men by 'un-sponsoring' them - keeping the claret in both home and away jerseys unblemished by sponsorship names.

Posting on their social media, Paddy Power created an entertaining video and said: "Scotland has always played an influential role in shaping history and now it does so once again as Motherwell have become the second team to join our #SaveOurShirt campaign!"

It comes a short time after the Huddersfield controversy when the English outfit had Paddy Power flashed down the whole front of their shirt before it was revealed to be a joint hoax.

Motherwell chief Alan Burrows told of his delight at the partnership.

He said: “Absolutely delighted to announce our record-breaking deal with @paddypower.

"We’re so excited to be working with them on the innovative #SaveOurShirt campaign that will see the front of our kits left unbranded in 19/20."
