Scott Bain: Could have watched the game at home from the comfort of his sofa. In what was a dominant win for Neil Lennon’s side there was little of note to trouble the Scotland internationalist 6

Nir Bitton: Has disappeared after a long injury but showed his versatility again with a willingness to deputise at right-back last night. Fairly comfortable night for the Israeli as Celtic dominated 6

Jozo Simunovic: Strolled through without breaking sweat although one mix-up in the final minutes irked him as the visitors dragged an effort wide of the post 6

Kristoffer Ajer: Headed in the opener just as Celtic’s frustration was beginning to grow at the lack of a breakthrough 7

Boli Bolingoli: Lasted just 37 minutes before he had to be replaced by Mikey Johnston after he picked up an injury. Not seen too much from the new arrival just yet 5

James Forrest: Tons of space on the right flank to run at the Nomme Kalju defence in the opening stages but winger was moved around a little as Celtic rejigged things. Shooting uncharacteristically off 6

Ryan Christie: Two goals and an assist as he looked again like the player of last season before his head injury. Dispatched a first-half penalty and then netted a peach of an effort for Celtic’s fourth of the evening. Excellent throughout 8

Scott Brown: Looked a little ponderous at times in the middle of the park but usual organisation of those around him 6

Callum McGregor: Rewarded with a fifth goal of the night after another decent performance in the middle of the park 7

Odsonne Edouard: Started alongside Leigh Griffiths as part of a front two. One nice exchange with McGregor that culminated in winning a corner from which the Frenchman almost netted 7

Leigh Griffiths: Emotional night for the striker who dropped to his knees in tears after whipping in a sumptuous free-kick on the cusp of the interval. His first goal since returning from mental health issues, it was also Griffiths’ 14th European goal which puts him above Steve Chalmers in Celtic’s list of European scorers 8

Substitutes

Mikey Johnston: On for Bolingoli and almost added his name to the scoresheet in the second period 6

Lewis Morgan: Came on for Griffiths just on the hour mark as he looks to make his mark 5

Olivier Ntcham: Arrived in the latter stages as Celtic comfortably saw the game out 4
