Celtic captain Scott Brown hopes Kieran Tierney knocks back Arsenal and stays at Parkhead.
The skipper and Tierney, 22, have become great pals at Celtic and won trophies together at Scotland's dominant club.
Gunners boss Unai Emery has so far had two bids for the left-back booted out by his team but Arsenal are expected to return again before the English transfer window slams shut on August 8.
Brown, though, expects Tierney to weigh up his options should that indeed happen.
And he hopes the Scots cap will choose to stay in Glasgow.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Brown said: "He's looking forward to trying to get himself back into training and get himself back on the pitch as well.
"He's been a phenomenal player for us for the last five seasons.
"We'll just wait and see what happens but here's hoping he stays.
"As it stands he's a Celtic player and I'd love him to stay because of what he's done the last five seasons."
