CELTIC manager Neil Lennon says Kris Ajer is worth a lot more than £15 million, Rangers have recieved no bids for Alfredo Morelos and a Premier League side have made a bid for Dundee United youngster Scott Banks.

Lennon aiming for 15-in-a-row

Neil Lennon reckons that some people are waiting ‘for things to spiral out of control’ at the Parkhead club but insisted that his team are in control - and the Northern Irishman thinks Celtic should be aiming for 15 consecutive titles. “Everyone is waiting for the run to end but we need to stay strong,” he said. “It’s Groundhog Year. We are up to eight but I’d like to get to 12, 13, 14 – because I’m greedy. Let’s make it to 15. We’re halfway there.”

Palace make move for Dundee United teenager

Premier League side Crystal Palace have made a bid of £400,000 for Dundee United youngster Scott Banks, according to the Daily Record. Southampton are also reportedly keeping tabs on the 17-year-old winger, who spent last season on loan at Clyde.

Gerrard: We’ve had no offers for Morelos

Steven Gerrard has insisted that there have been no bids for Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos and revealed that he is disappointed that ‘someone, somewhere is creating a lot of nonsense and speculation around the kid’. Gerrard said: “There’s always an angle, although I’m not sure what that angle it is. But there’s a lot of noise around the player - he’s been linked with around eight to 10 clubs and yet the phone hasn’t gone.”

Hearts make move for Whelan

Former Stoke City midfielder Glenn Whelan could be on his way to Tynecastle, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the 35-year-old midfielder has had discussions with Hearts over a potential move. The Irish midfielder could sign for the club ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Pittodrie.

Lennon: Ajer is worth a lot more than £15 million

Celtic boss Neil Lennon reckons that Norwegian centre-back Kristoffer Ajer - who is reportedly on a two-man shortlist at AC Milan - is not for sale, even for £15 million. Lennon told the Scottish Sun: “£15million? I’d value Kris a lot higher than that. He has more to come, and I don’t think £15m would cut it, not that we are entertaining any offers. There’s been no contact from Milan.”

Considine says Cosgrove is up there with Premiership’s best

Aberdeen defender Andrew Considine believes that his team-mate Sam Cosgrove should be considered as one of the best strikers in Scotland. “His record is comparable to the likes of what Morelos and Griffiths have produced in recent seasons,” he said.

Budge sets Levein European target

Hearts owner Anne Budge has set manager Craig Levein a European target ahead of the new Premiership season. Budge said: “I’ve said consistently that our objective is to be fighting for a European spot, although we are not the only ones who say that.
