Rangers target Kemar Roofe will leave Leeds United this summer, Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard was credited with an interest in the striker who finished the Whites’ top goal scorer last season.

The move reportedly hinged on the Light Blues selling Alfredo Morelos.

But now Leeds boss Bielsa has confirmed that Roofe - a target for Belgian club Anderlecht - won’t be at Elland Road this term.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Bielsa said: “We are in a few difficulties because finally Roofe and Peacock-Farrell leave, they were in the squad of 18 players we chose before.”

Roofe, 26, has one year left on his deal at Leeds.
