Celtic target rejects new contract

Kilmarnock defender Stephen O'Donnell has reportedly knocked back a new three-year deal at Rugby Park.

The Scotland cap became a number one pick for former manager Steve Clarke at Killie before Angelo Alessio arrived and continued picking him.

However it has been claimed that O'Donnell - despite having a new deal on the table - will NOT re-sign with Killie. (Daily Mail)

Celtic legend Chris Sutton calls cops

Chris Sutton has alerted police after trolls bombarded him with abuse - leaving his daughter in tears.

The Celtic icon explained on social media how his daughter, seven, took his phone during a sleepover with pals only to receive abusive phone calls and messages meant for her dad.

Posting on Twitter, Sutton told how he's called in officers over the abuse.

He said: "To all the people sending abusive messages.

"My daughter who is 7 had my phone at a sleepover last night. She has my phone regularly and was called all night.

"She is very upset. I will be sending photos of the culprits out and passing your details onto the police". (The Herald)

Kyle Lafferty breaks silence on Rangers exit

Former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has revealed he holds no grudges against Steven Gerrard for freezing him out at Ibrox.

The Northern Irishman left the club by mutual consent earlier this summer.

But he admitted his regret at not taking his chance second time round as a Rangers player.

He said: "Steven had his view on me as a player and you don’t want to be told by any manager at any club that they are going down a different route and you won’t be needed next season.

“He was straight with me and told me I wouldn’t be anywhere near the first team. No matter who you are or who you play with, that’s hard to hear.

"But if it’s with the team you grew up with and the team you support then it’s a hammer-blow.

"You want to be part of a Rangers side which wins the league and you want to make an impression and I was gutted not to be able to do that." (Daily Record)

Kieran Tierney latest

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has revealed he will only splash any more cash at the Emirates if it will strengthen his side - amid reports that his summer spending is OVER.

KT has been the subject of two bids so far from the Gunners and it is expected that at least one more may be in the offing before the transfer window shuts.

However Emery said: "It has not changed, our idea and our message.

"Only if we can sign a player who really, really can improve our squad, then we are going to do that.

"If not, then not." (Evening Times)
