JOE ARIBO is confident he can continue to go from strength to strength after shining on the Europa League stage once again in Denmark.

The midfielder has made an instant impression in Light Blue following his move from Charlton this summer and produced another terrific showing in the victory over Midtjylland.

Aribo scored the second goal of the night as Steven Gerrard’s side won 4-2 to take control of the third qualifying round tie.

And the Englishman reckons there is plenty more to come from him and the Gers after the finest performance of the campaign to date in the MCH Arena.

Aribo said: “It was a massive result. We were told at the start of the game that we had to go out there and play as a team and that is what we did. I am happy we managed to get the result.

“I’d say that was the best we have played. It looked like every time we went forward that we were going to score. It was a massive away performance

“I just want to be able to perform in the big games and continue going from there. I took one big touch and then another little one just before I struck it across the goal.

“I feel very good. I’m just happy we managed to get the result and take what we can back to Ibrox.

“I know there are still other levels of my game that I can improve on and I just want to keep going from strength to strength this season.”

Striker Alfredo Morelos opened the scoring for Rangers just before the break and it was Gerrard’s side that were still celebrating at the end of a remarkable European clash in Herning.

Nikola Katic and Scott Arfield were also on target and the Light Blues are now within touching distance of a play-off berth as Gerrard looks to lead his side into the group stages for a second consecutive season.

Aribo said: “We need to keep what we did tonight because anything can happen. They could score early and then it changes. So we just need to remain focused and make it hard for them to get any motivation in the game and to put us under any pressure

“We saw what the fans are about tonight and that helped us get over the line. At home, it is going to be amazing and I can’t wait for it.”
