Scotland star John McGinn has been hailed as Aston Villa's best by club captain Jack Grealish.

Grealish and McGinn have formed a formidable partnership for their club since the latter signed last season.

The ex-Hibs midfielder has even been praised by Jamie Redknapp as a '£50m player' in recent weeks.

But the praise was far from over in the wake of McGinn's goal against Tottenham last week -  as Grealish labelled him the club's 'player's player' in an interview with popular footie show Soccer AM.

The skipper, when asked who the top man is, said: "I'd probably say John McGinn.

"He's unbelievable and, for me to play alongside him, is a pleasure.

"That's why he's such a fan's favourite."

Celtic-daft McGinn was also branded the biggest MOAN at the club by his captain.

And Grealish lapped up his teammate's love for music - claiming he's constantly blasting out The Proclaimers' 500 Miles around the training ground.

Grealish added: "Ginny likes to sing all the time, but he just likes to sing Scottish songs all the time.

"The Proclaimers and that.

"It's actually a decent tune, to be fair."
