Ex-Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is the best British boss in football, according to Jamie Carragher.

Rodgers himself is back in the English Premier League as Leicester City leader.

And Carra reckons there's nobody out there from the UK who is a better boss than Rodgers.

Speaking on Sky Sports' The Big Debate, Carragher said: "When Brendan went there a lot of people thought that was the best group of players outside the top six.

"When the Leicester job comes up, it’s one you think it’s the best he can get.

“I think Rodgers as a manager, he’s the best British manager about.

"Rodgers is in another game, the Pep Guardiola-like football, that way of playing.

"Because it’s in that, people say he’s a smartass.

“People take the p*** out of him a little bit but the job he did at Liverpool, so close to winning the title, what he did at Celtic, going the season undefeated, what he did with Swansea.

“I actually think he’s the best British manager out there at the moment."
