Ex-Rangers star Kyle Lafferty could be in line for a shock move to Kilmarnock.
The striker recently left Ibrox by mutual consent.
He even went as far as to issue a come-and-get-me plea to another of his former sides, Hearts, in a bid to find a new club.
But now it is understood Killie boss Angelo Alessio could be willing to offer the attacker terms at Rugby Park - if the Northern Irishman would be willing to discuss a reasonable financial package.
Alessio said: "The club is working every day to get new players in.
"But we have got to be realistic. Lafferty and some players earn a lot of money."
