SOUTHAMPTON goalkeeper Fraser Forster could be on his way back to Celtic Park, Kyle Lafferty could be on his way to Kilmarnock and Celtic defender Kris Ajer is set to be offered a new deal by Neil Lennon.

Forster to return to Celtic?

Southampton goalie Fraser Forster - who played for Celtic from 2010-2014 - could be in line for a sensational return to Parkhead. Current Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has picked up a short-term injury and the Scottish Sun believe that the Englishman could re-join the Scottish champions.

Bain ruled out with injury

Celtic goalie Scott Bain will miss the club's next fixture after picking up a hand injury in Tuesday evening's defeat to CFR Cluj. Bain, 27, faces a spell on the sidelines but will only miss one game for the Glasgow club.

King completes Rangers move

Leicester City midfielder Andy King has finalised a loan move to join Rangers for the 2019/20 season. The Wales internationalist was at Ibrox last night as Rangers picked up a 3-1 win against Denmark's FC Midtjylland.

Lafferty to Kilmarnock?

Ex-Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty could be on his way to Ayrshire after the forward's Ibrox contract was ripped up at the end of last season. Killie manager Angelo Alessio told the Scottish Sun: "The club is working every day to get new players in. But we have got to be realistic. Lafferty and some players earn a lot of money.”

Celtic to offer Ajer extension

Norwegian defender Kris Ajer will be offered a contract extension, according to reports in the Daily Record. The 21-year-old signed a new deal last summer but Neil Lennon is reportedly keen to tie the centre-back down on a longer contract.

Gerrard thanks ex-Celtic boss Rodgers

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard thanked former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers after the Ibrox club finalised a move for Leicester City midfielder Andy King. Gerrard said: "We thank Leicester for the opportunity because you and I know from a financial situation there is no way in the world we can bring Premier League players in here."

Kerr 'reduced players to tears'

Shelley Kerr, the manager of Scotland's woman's team, has revealed that her players were reduced to tears in a post_world Cup debrief.
