Gary McAllister insists Rangers have prepared for East Fife the same way they've worked ahead of their European ties this season.

Gers face the tricky trip to Bayview Stadium to square-off against Darren Young's part-timers.

For McAllister, the thoughts of a successful cup run and potential silverware come December is too important.

Rangers out to stop Celtic winning 10 in-a-row, before stopping nine in-a-row, says Gary McAllister

That's why Steven Gerrard and his coaching staff have made sure the Light Blues are as well prepared as possible - regardless of opposition.

And they're leaving nothing to chance.

McAllister said: "[East Fife] started the season not bad, a couple of draws and it's a big game for them.

Gary McAllister says Rangers are ready to fly the flag for Scotland in Europe

"A full-house and they'll raise their game, but we've got to be ready for that.

"For us it's about mentality, the same preparation will be done for East Fife as what we've done in recent games in Europe and the two league games.

"We go there looking to get a good run in this competition."

East Fife vs Rangers kicks-off this afternoon at 3pm.
