Ex-Celtic striker Tony Watt scored a stunning volley for CSKA Sofia against newcomers to the Bulgarian top-flight Arda yesterday afternoon.

The Scottish striker hammered home a terrific strike to give his side the lead before they went on to seal a 3-2 home win.

Portuguese midfielder Tiago Rodrigues found the 25-year-old with a clever cross before Watt swept home the opener.

He also managed man-of-the-match.

It was Watt's second goal of the season after he bagged a consolation goal against Cherno More earlier this campaign.

CSKA Sofia currently sit fourth in the First Professional Football League, just three behind leaders Ludogorets after six games.

Watt rose to prominence at Celtic after scoring the winning goal in a sensational 2-1 win over Barcelona at Parkhead.

He went on to score eight goals for the Hoops before heading off to Liege.

The attacker has scored 43 goals throughout his career where he counts Hearts, St Johnstone and Blackburn among his former clubs.
