Celtic legend Artur Boruc has vowed to return to IBROX to watch his beloved Legia Warsaw face Rangers in the Europa League.

The ex-Hoops star told supporters in his homeland of Poland that he's ready to head back to Glasgow alongside fans who still treat the goalkeeper like a hero.

Addressing the Legia Warsaw fans via the club's official website, Boruc said: "I would like to invite you for the away game against Glasgow Rangers.

"Hopefully I will be there with you.

"Keep your fingers crossed. All of Legia, always together."

Boruc, currently at Bournemouth, spent six years at Legia before departing for Celtic where he enjoyed five seasons.

The stopper was a controversial figure at Parkhead and built a fierce rivalry with Gers and their supporters during his time in Glasgow.

Boruc, 39, became embroiled in a scrap with ex-Rangers captain David Weir during a powderkeg clash at Celtic Park.

He also refused to shake hands with his rivals after a loss at Ibrox.

Gers have made the trip to Poland for the first-leg of their Europa League play-off on Thursday evening.

And the home side have claimed a game against the Light Blues will be easier than facing Finnish and Greek minnows - because the pressure is all on favourites Rangers.
