Craig Gordon
He was half an hour into his game in which he had next to nothing to do when the club confirmed the loan of Fraser Forster. This was an easy night for the veteran who noticeably was good with his feet. 6
Kristoffer Ajer
The man of the match. Early on, from a Gordon kick out, he cushioned the ball and played a lovely pass to Forrest. Then a great run and intelligent cross deserved better. Just two of the Norwegian’s many excellent moments. Was outstanding at right-back. Again. 9
Jozo Simunovic
Still not the player he was under Neil Lennon last season. Unsteady with his touch and passing, which affected his all-round play at time. In fairness, he calmed down after a tricky start and cruised second half. 7

Christopher Jullien
This was a lot more like it. The £7million Frenchman’s demeanour was of a confident centre-half out to win every challenge and help his team in the opposition box. But needs to watch himself when defending set-pieces. He’s a bit grabby. 7
Boli Bolingoli
In a world when a career can be judged after ten minutes, the new man had pressure on him and, fair play, the left-back did himself a lot of good. His great run was pivotal to the first goal but concentration remains a worry. 7
Scott Brown
Not as dominant as he would have liked but it was a huge improvement on Cluj. The captain did his best stuff when breaking up attacks and winning the ball. Doesn’t look 100 per cent if truth be told. 6
Callum McGregor
The midfielder should be a Marvel superhero. He’s that good at getting himself out of tight situations. Went close with a shot from distance after the break. It would be nice to see him a bit further forward. 7
James Forrest
Another hugely important goal from this modern-day Celtic legend. Forrest has scored in his last five games this season. If anything, he's got better. Always had at least one man on him and was still a constancy menace down the right. Mr Reliable. 8

Ryan Christie
Another fine European performance on the CV of this clever player who AIK resorted to fouling when he got himself on the ball and into a dangerous situation. Did everything but score. 7
Mikey Johnston
Bright from the start when his sharp feet took him past markers. Good goalkeeping denied him a first-half goal and while his involvement became less frequent, it was a mature and important performance. 7
Odsonne Edouard
Superb turn and shot on 25 minutes deserved a goal. His hard work, touch, ability to bring team-mates into the game. A dummy, just about, led to the opener. His free-kick a reminder of Shunsuke Nakamura. It was that good. He is that good. 8
Substitutes:
Olivier Ntcham
Went close with a long-range effort and did well in his outing. 6
Lewis Morgan
Brought energy when on and was close to a goal. 6
Bayo
Put on with a few minutes to go. 5
