Celtic hero Henrik Larsson has recalled the moment Hoops fans sang "Bobo's gonna get you" when he starred for Barcelona at Parkhead.

The Celts icon departed Glasgow for the Catalan giants in 2004 but it wasn't long until he was straight back to the home of his former employers as the two were paired in the Champions League.

Larsson, 47, admitted he didn't fancy the return so soon after he'd left but, when ex-teammate Magnus Hedman phoned him to confirm the two teams would be playing each other, the Swede knew he'd be in for a tough night.

And so it proved as he scored in a 3-1 win victory for Barca.

But it was when the Parkhead faithful, who had idolised him for his seven years service, began jokingly singing that Bobo Balde was after him that hit Larsson hardest - albeit it was all in good spirits.

Does Fraser Forster's return spell the end of Scott Bain or Craig Gordon at Celtic?

Speaking on BT Sports' What I Wore segment, Larsson recalled: "I was sitting at home by my pool in Barcelona and my phone is ringing, it's Magnus Hedman who was the keeper at Celtic at the time.

"He says 'you can't guess, yes we're playing each other'.

"I didn't want to go straight from Celtic to Barcelona and then go straight back to play there.

"In the game the Celtic fans started half-jokingly singing Bobo's gonna get you. I was a little bit upset about that.

"It was a funny feeling actually because being seven years at Celtic, coming back and scoring, it was so quiet."

Meanwhile the Swedish icon has quit his role as Helsingborg manager over the alleged "verbal insults" he received from supporters.
