St Mirren hero David van Zanten has trolled Rangers fans after English side Bury were expelled from the EFL.
Former defender van Zanten took a pop at the Ibrox outfit over their demotion to the Third Division back in 2012.
Gers plunged into administration and were liquidated through financial mismanagement - a somewhat similar scenario to Bury in League One who dropped out of the league yesterday.
Bolton Wanderers are also in a precarious position and have until 11.59pm on September 12 to find a buyer.
Irishman van Zanten, 37, aimed a dig at Rangers on social media following the news.
He wrote: "Bury and Bolton fans don’t despair.
"Rangers managed to win 54 league titles in 7 years since they went bust".

His tweet racked up hundreds of likes and shares.
And most people commenting simply laughed along with the status.
There was uproar as Bury were expelled from the league - with owner Steve Dale being blasted by fans and players alike for "ruining lives".
