Celtic star Tony Ralston has emerged as a loan target for St Johnstone.
Saints are on the lookout for a right-back after Richard Foster’s bust up with boss Tommy Wright saw him shipped out to Ross County.
Ralston hasn’t featured too often for Celts under Neil Lennon and is unlikely to do so after Moritz Bauer joined on loan from Stoke City.
Hatem Abd Elhamed is already first choice right-back at the club after signing from Hapoel Beer Sheva earlier this summer.
Tommy Wright is understood to be keen on Ralston and is ready to make a move for the player.
The St Johnstone boss will have to move quickly, though, with the transfer window to close on Monday night.
Ralston made his Celtic debut against Motherwell back in 2016.
He has previously had a loan spell away from Parkhead at Dundee United.
