Kris Boyd heaped praise and congratulations on Celtic's new signing Greg Taylor - but joked he won't speak to the left-back until he leaves the Hoops.

Former Rangers and Kilmarnock man Boyd watched as pal Taylor signed a four-year deal at Parkhead yesterday.

The defender has been chased by Celts most of the summer and finally completed the move.

Posting on Instagram in response to Taylor's signing pic, Boyd wrote: "Well done @gregtaylor12. A top player, that worked your hardest everyday from the academy to the first-team a great example for any youngster to follow.

"Deserved your move, but won't hear from me for 4 years now bye bye".

Various other teammates at international level also wished their friend well.
