Rangers star Andy Halliday came face-to-face with a diehard supporter who inked the player's name and number onto his leg.

The Gers left-back met his number one fan on a night out with girlfriend Jilly Cross and a handful of teammates.

Posting a clip of her partner reacting awkwardly to first seeing the tattoo, Jilly simply wrote: "nah hahahaha".

Re-shared by another fan on Twitter, the video racked up thousands of likes and hundreds more shares.

And plenty of Light Blues fans revealed their admiration for the tat - before having a laugh at Halliday's reaction.

One said: "That's class."

Another wrote: "I kinda like it."

One added: "Brilliant."

Others complained about Jilly's reaction to the tattoo rather than Halliday's.

One laughed: "more concerned about his burds reaction than himself tbh".

Another joked: "I'm getting Umar Sadiq."

In another short clip, Halliday can be seen sharing a munch with teammate Allan McGregor as the pair took advantage of the international break.
