Celtic hero Chris Sutton believes Mohamed Elyounoussi will have a point to prove during his loan spell at Parkhead.

The winger joined from Southampton on a season-long deal.

He failed to play much after a £16million transfer to the English Premier League from Basel and opted to head to Glasgow to get his career going again.

Sutton is sure the move will suit both parties.

As long as the wide man hits the ground running.

Speaking on BT Sport, Sutton said: "[Elyounoussi] hasn't had any game time this season so it's important he gets up to speed pretty quickly.

"He can play in any of the three positions behind the centre-forward.

"Celtic's issue is that they didn't have enough strength in depth but this looks to be a decent bit of business.

"The likes of him and Bauer at full-back, they have a point to prove.

"Couldn't get a game at their respective clubs, come up here and get your career back on track."
