THE Scottish Premiership was back in action after an international break to forget for the Tartan Army. While the national side served up another two morale-sapping showings, the return to domestic action did quite the opposite.

Rangers came from behind to record a 3-1 win over Livingston at Ibrox, there was late drama in the Highlands courtesy of Marcus Fraser's last-gasp winner for Ross County while both Edinburgh clubs continued their poor run of form of late, with Hearts losing at home to Motherwell and Paul Heckingbottom's Hibs losing at Rugby Park.

We've updated our Manager Power Rankings after the weekend's results and there has been a fair bit of movement in the standings. If you want to know more about how it all works, you can read about it here.

Celtic travelled to Hamilton in the weekend's early kick-off and the champions continued their winning start to the season with a 1-0 win at the Fountain of Youth Stadium. James Forrest's early tap-in was all that separated the two sides in the end as Neil Lennon's team left with all three points.

The Celtic boss was awarded a single point for the win, as his team were the pre-match favourites, while Hamilton's Brian Rice was docked one. That leaves Lennon with an overall score of +9 at this early stage in the season, putting the Northern Irishman in pole position in our table.

It was another good weekend for Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson, who watched his team play out a 3-2 win over Hearts at Tynecastle. The home side were the bookies' favourites before kick-off so Robinson gains three points for the win, while his Hearts counterpart Craig Levein is docked three. This means that Robinson moves into second place with a tally of +6, while Levein props up the rest on -7.

Livingston manager Gary Holt suffered his first league defeat of the campaign when the West Lothian side travelled to Ibrox for their fixture against Rangers. James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos and Brandon Barker got the goals for the home side after Steven Lawless gave the visitors a shock lead.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was rewarded with a point for a win and now has a score of +2 while Holt was docked the same amount. The Livi manager just ahead of Gerrard in the standings with an overall score of +4 for the season.

Hibernian continue to slide under Heckingbottom and the club suffered another defeat this weekend, losing out to Kilmarnock by two goals to nil. The Ayrshire side were expected to win the match so Angelo Alessio gains a point for the win, while Heckingbottom loses one. The Englishman is now level with Tommy Wright in joint-tenth place on -3.

The Saints boss collected a point after watching his side secure a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie. The result saw St Johnstone move off of bottom spot in the Premiership table, and Wright gained a point in our Power Rankings. Derek McInnes, meanwhile, lost a point and is back on 0 overall.
