Chris Sutton has slaughtered Napoli star Jose Callejon for conning the referee by diving over Andy Robertson in last night's Champions League clash with Liverpool.
Robertson was penalised for a foul on the Spaniard in Italy as holders Liverpool fell to a 2-0 defeat on opening night.
Napoli's opener was contentious, though, as Callejon looked to have taken a tumble without receiving contact from Scotland's captain.
Ex-Celtic striker Sutton has now taken a pop at "cheater" Callejon and claimed that VAR didn't help the Reds either.
In his Daily Mail column, Sutton said: "Liverpool were unfortunate because Napoli were given a helping hand by referee Felix Brych, who awarded them that late penalty.
"I'm sorry, but that was not a foul by Andrew Robertson. It was simulation by Jose Callejon.
"He dived to win the spot-kick, then VAR failed to overturn it.
"It's cheating. He's already going to ground and initiated the contact.
"VAR should be getting these decisions right. Liverpool were hard done by."
