Alfredo Morelos has launched a foundation to help kids from his hometown in Colombia reach their potential.

The Rangers striker created the association as a platform for children of Cerete to follow in his footsteps and make something of themselves despite their underprivileged background.

El Buffalo made the move to Glasgow from South America via a stint in Helsinki, Finland, but he has never forgotten his roots.

Brandon Barker snubbed interest from English Championship clubs to join Rangers

Now he hopes his newly founded organisation can work as a way for youngsters to live their dreams - like he's doing as Gers' top man.

Posting on social media, Morelos wrote: "It is a privilege for me to open this wonderful foundation where the children of Cerete will be able to fulfill their dreams just as I can also do it in my childhood.

"If you can believe it, you can do it.

Rangers fans should be excited about George Edmundson's potential, says coach Michael Beale

"I am proud to be a mediator of this beautiful project and to be a benchmark for this beautiful project that will help many people and will bring up great talents from my land."

Morelos' love for his hometown and country shows a different side to him from the fiery, explosive character he portrays the minute he steps onto a football pitch.
