Celtic and Rangers scouts both took in Lawrence Shankland's demolition of Morton last weekend, according to reports.
The attacker notched a hat-trick against Ton at Tannadice.
The treble took him to 15 goals for the season and admirers from both of Scotland's big two were in attendance, claim the Daily Record.
Tosh McKinlay of the Hoops and Gers' Billy McLaren reportedly watched on as Ton were hammered 6-0.

It's not the first time Shankland has been linked with a move to either side of the Old Firm.
He previously admitted walking out at Ibrox as a Rangers player would be a dream come true.
His goal scoring exploits have earned plenty of plaudits.
We told previously how the Tangerines pipped English League One side Blackpool to his signature in the summer.
Shankland has scored an incredible 78 games in less than three seasons for Ayr and Dundee United respectively.
