Fans of Si Ferry's Open Goal YouTube show have rallied around their favourites in demanding a live show at Glasgow's SSE Hydro.

The popular podcast regularly invites guests from around the world of Scottish football to tell stories of their careers and their future plans.

Ferry has become a massive hit alongside his podcast regulars in Paul Slane, Kevin Kyle and Frank McAvennie.

The group often tease the option of hosting a live interview scenario at the massive Hydro.

After asking lovers of the programme if they fancied it, posting on Twitter the official account for Open Goal said: "If this tweet gets 13k likes we’ll book the Hydro for Open Goal Live!"

It certainly didn't take long for scores of fans - more than the 13,000 target - to like the tweet.

And it seemingly took the Open Goal team by surprise less than 24 hours after the post when they reacted: "Oh... We’re gonna actually have to do this now @TheSSEHydro".

Another added: "Great start to the week".

One commented: "Definitely be going to this".

A fourth laughed: "S****bags if ye don't."

The lads have previously run shows from the Tennent's Brewery, attracting smaller, more intimate crowds.

Previous guests include Liverpool star Andrew Robertson, Gordon Strachan, Aiden McGeady and Ally McCoist to name a few.
